Capernwray Moments
Amanda I had to put this picture on here! I was cleaning my room today and I found our old yearbook. Look how young we look! I couldn't help but laugh outloud when I saw this shot. Believe it or not this is Amanda capturing me at Youth Retreat. I'm not sure how she did it but she picked up and then the Ben Farnell and Charle Heibert helped her carry me off the stage I think because she was frozen with my weight and we were but killing ourselves on the inside. I'd like you to notice Amanda's hair. I can't remember how long it took her backcombing it but she definatly fit the part for our "Survivor Youth Retreat."

Friends
Ahhh the summer it was so fun. Here are some of my favourite people. First one here is Becky, Erin and I at Cody's and Bretta's wedding. These girls are so fun and I met them when I moved to Kelowna at First Baptist Church.
Angela, Amanda, and Andrea. Bible School friends. You haven't lived until you've had a room 7 dance party! Right girls?
Shalom, Reisha and Becky. These girls I have known since about grade 2. I think that is 16 years now! That is crazy! I feel truly blessed to have known and to be known by these beautiful women.
Trish and Julie my friends from Westbank that I just met last year but we just have a riot when were together there is always alot of laughs espically when Trishas' boyfriend Will gets thrown into the mix! I will be posting more friend pictures up soon. I tried to do about 10 but I'm kinda new at this and I didn't know there was a limit to it so bare with me.

Polka music anyone?
Yes, I was walking in to work this morning at 7:30... It is freezing cold (actually 2 degrees but out at UBC that is very cold!) and I could hardly believe what I heard. Polka music blaring from a white mini van with windows wide open. I'm not sure who in their right mind would subject themselves to freezing cold air and blaring tunes at that time in the morning but whoever it is you made me roll my eyes and shake my head just a little. C'est la vie!

Nephews
Thought it was about time to blog about two little people that mean alot to me. Riley who is four and Liam who will be two in March. They are so sweet and funny. I talk to them on the phone at least once a week usually not for long until they want to go play but hearing their little voices warms my heart. I'm very excited. I'm going to visit these little men in my life in NINE Days. I haven't seen them since September so I can hardly wait to get my arms aroud them and take them for a spin on the dacnce floor aka the living room after supper. I never knew little people could have me wraped aroud their finger so tight but when it comes down to it I wouldn't want it any other way. Oh, and this photo is all artwork that has been sent to me in the mail by my very thoughtful sister-in-law Sarah. It smells of smelly markers and I'm not sure what the picture are of but I put them up in my room because loving these little guys is part of my everyday life.

Cinnamon Buns
This morning when I woke up all I could think about was making cinnamon buns. Just like the ones Amanda had described on her blog. The only thing is you have to be patient. They take a long time... I started making them around 7:30 (my poor roommate had to put her ear plugs in) and they weren't ready until about 9:45. It felt like a long time to wait but it was worth it. So tasty.

Psalm 41
3 "The Lord will sustain him upon his sickbed; In his illness, You restore him to health."
Today I'm home sick with a bad cold. I thought I would read my Bible before bed as my Neo Citron cools enough to drink and I came across this passage. I'm not sure how God does it but I do believe that the Bible is Gods living word. It is amazing how different passages can speak to me at different times in my life. I feel so blessed to believe in a God that cares about me... even when I'm sick.
