My Diamond

My cousin Jan and I went shopping last weekend. She is my new shopping buddy. Other than my Mom she is my favourtie person to shop with. We like similer things and we can easily tell each other if something look really bad or steller. While shopping on West 4th I found this ring! It is huge and so fake but I love it!

The next picture is done on my new mac... it has this photo booth thing that is so fun to edit pictures on it is unreal. I've been laughing so hard with it! Hope you like it.

My parents are coming down this weekend. They are bringing CAKE for Glen and Bri as their birthday are both this month. Lemon Poppy Seed Chiffon. It is going to be Tasty!

Too Much Coffee

I swear I am typing at speeds never before. I had cup of joe this morning on the way to work and half a latte at lunch and the other half after work... and now (it is 10:30pm) I am still going strong. I can feel the caffeine coursing through my veins... Usually I have my morning coffee and then finish off whatever is left after work. Yes, I leave it sitting all day in my car. That is really gross but "whatever" I like it. So I feel like I accomplished a lot tonight but mostly I sat on my duff and watched American Idol and called my cousin Jan every few minutes to catch her reaction too. It was a good day now only I wish I could sleep catch up on some zzz's as that is why I needed the latte in the first place. Ahhh well, maybe I'll finish the week off with extra java to keep me going everyday... I'm just glad there are sweet coffee shops just around the street from my new job. Bean Brothers is my new favourtie! They have great cinnamon buns and entres too.

It's a new day

Today I started at Dr. Loo's office. It went really well. I'll be learning the front dest first so that will keep me on my toes as the office sees 60 to 80 patients a day. I know it will be a great place for me to learn a tonne about orthodontics and administrative duties too. I found many a place to eat lunch and a little fruit stand to pick up things for dinner on my way home too. Childhood Keepsakes

Unpacking today I found my old jewelry box... it was full of cute little earings with bows and hearts I used to love to wear. I was contemplating getting rid of some of them but the all mean something. My locket from when I was a baby, a necklace from Greg when he went to Hawaii, some rings I thought were so cool from Mexico encluding one that is a turtle with moving arms and legs. Needless to say I think I'll hang on to these little gems that used to mean so much if for no other reason but to have some dress up jewelry for my little niece.

Moving

Well it happened a little sooner than planned but it is all for the best. I'm moving, yet again... I'm still in the same area South Burnaby but now I have my own place. It is an entry level basement suite with lots of windows. The place is not new by any means but it is mine. I'm looking forward to watching TV in my undies, leaving my place messy or clean, and a kitchen to myself. I would still love to have a roommate but... all you girls went off and got married on me! he he he who knows maybe one of these days I'll find a roommate of my own.

Done at UBC

I can hardly believe my maternity leave at UBC is over. I can't believe I've been in Vancouver for 8 months already! Time just flys. I really enjoyed my co workers at UBC and will miss our daily banter. I know we will continue to do things together so that is will be good. It is hard to leave such a fun job but I know that I made the right decision. These flowers are a gift from Cherry the hygienist, I also recieved cinnamon buns, a nice lunch out, and a gift certificate to itunes. They really spoiled me and I will miss them greatly.

Baby Shower

This past Saturday, we had a party! It was for Bri and Ava... we had a great time there was never a dull moment with all Bri's friends and family talking, laughing, drinking coffee, sharing wisdom, holding Ava, opening presents, and spending the afternoon to celebrating Ava's entry into the world but more so our lives.

Meet Ava Grace

Well, she is finally here. Ava was born April 27th, and she is the sweetest niece I have. Well she is the only niece so far but she is wonderful. It is so nice to be able to live so close to my brother and it will be awesome to watch her grow and learn.

I'm back

Well... today I bought my first computer. It is the 12" ibook G4. I'm very excited to use it and figure it all out. Sorry for the long dry spell in the blogging world I don't think I'll have any trouble now.
