Fun Weekend

Well, another weekend is soon to be over. I love the weekends in the summer. The days just seem so much longer and there is so much to do. On Saturday Jan an I went to see Bard on the Beach... a live Shakespearian play out on the banks of false creek. It was a great setting and it was really interesting we saw the play A Winter's Tale. It was a little hard to get into because the english is of course so different than the english I use but it was great to see all the costumes and it was humorous as well. I tried to take a photo of the stage but this one chick usher made me erase it and then throughout the show I would feel her stare and look over and sure enough she was eyeing me up again. Probably making sure I didn't take any more photos! I guess I kinda deserve it but I didn't like her very much. After the play we went to Granville Island for Indian food and to pick up some fresh fruits and veggies for the week. Then it was off to the Chinatown night market.

That was an experience plenty of undies, jewelry, stationary, silk PJ's, electronic accessories, all with food vendors in between. Over the loud speaker was that high pitched techno music like aquas' I'm a barbie girl song.... ahhh... I made Jan try Bubble tea with peals (tapioca balls) in it . I laughed so hard at her expressions (she wasn't into the gummies in her drink)! We also tried these egg ball things. The guy making them was worth the 2$ just to see him do the dance to make the little goodies.

Then today we went biking out to Steveston with our Bible study group. The only thing was we were 10 minutes late to the meeting spot and there was no one there when we got there so we took off and never did meet up with everyone. The leader called me tonight to see what happened and they were all late and we were ahead of them the whole time and then the fish and chips place we eating lunch had two locations and we went to the wrong one that is why we didn't see anyone else there. Ahh well it was still a beautiful day to be out biking maybe not so much after the fish and chips but still gorgeous. Then this afternoon Jan and I went shopping on Main Street all the summer stock is on sale so that was fun. Shopping on Main makes me feel so creative and expressive. I want to wear all this vintage clothes with original jewelry and funky shoes. One of these days you may not recognize me if my whims continue.
