Roots
This past weekend was a girls weekend. Although these are not just any girls. These girls I've know and been known by for what is it now... seventeen years. We all grew up together. We've overcome some tough times but mostly we've celebrated happy times... and just plain crazy times... together. Even though the last time we were all together was about two years ago we just pick up where we left off and the inside jokes flow and the hugs flys around the room. I feel so blessed to have these beautiful women in my life. These friends ground me. They are my roots. They hold me up. They help me grow. They give me strength.
Amy was a great hostess. We crashed her place near Seattle. She took us all around. To the public market, nordstrom rack, Seattles Best coffee, out dancing, to Bellvue shopping, Kahili coffee, and Royden and Ruth's abode for dinner.
Even though the sun has set on this little road trip I know we'll carry on with each other in hearts, minds and prayers. Yes I'm sentimental today. Which happens to be not so rare for me latley. Don't worry I'm not about to bust into my rendition of Friends are Friends Forever". But yeah... Thanks for the good times once again and as always.

Ready for Spring

I'm so ready for spring to come. It has been freezing for so long now. It is beautiful... on the mountains. I guess it has just felt like winter for extra long this year with all the storms. Tonight it is supposed to snow. So I'll set my alarm super early to have enough time to get to work. Most likley I'll hit snooze and stay in my bed immobilized by the cold air that creaps through my window by my bed. Then I'll get out at the last possible second and get ready in five minutes. Then the scraping starts. I really dislike scraping the ice off my car. I think I should really invest in one of those car starters one of these days. I've really become a chicken with the cold weather since moving down here. You would think that I would find the snow comforting because it is more like home but... I must say I love the rain and the moderate temperatures we have most of the year. Well for now I guess I'll dream of the spring crocuses popping up with the grass in the spring.

Photos from the Arm
Finally I'm getting around to posting on here. So this is where I was for about a week and a half. I was actually out in the snow quite a bit. I think I was sledding twice and skiing a couple times as well. It was a good mix between the sedentary relaxing and working out on the hills.

My two nephews got electric guitars for Christmas and they were pretty fun to rock out on. Even my 8 month old niece Ava got the hang of it.

We were so addicted to playing this game... Ticket to Ride. I'm not sure how many times we actually played but it was such a riot. Now that my family is all apart we all play online. It is so hilarious. It is pretty much the biggest time waster I've been addicted to in a while but I just love playing games.

Home Sweet Home
I guess both places are home now (Burnaby and Salmon Arm). I love going back to Salmon Arm. I hardly left my parents cozy home. It is so nice to just have a little break to rest and refocus. Today at work not only did I write 2006 but I was also writing December. Ahh well.. I guess I'm a little behind with the times. I really don't know where this past year went. Time goes by so quickly. This year I want to work on savoring the little things in life, friendships, good coffee, chocolate, and tunes. I'll post some more holiday pic's soon :)
